Art should be shared freely. This site provides accessible, independently published art zines under a free culture license. All zines and art included in this distro are free for remixing, copying, tracing, downloading, distributing, etc.

Editor's Note: I travelled rough for a few years.  The quality and accessibility of online art zines is a bummer if you are broke af. 

Statement of Intent

It is my hope that anti-discriminatory practices becoming integral to online media. This online project explores the connections between art and marginalized experience. Art should be accessible to everyone. It can be a tool of social change.

The media released through this distro advocates forms of peaceful resistance by focusing on the three areas below:

Free Culture

Providing cultural works for free viewing and donation-based download. Operating on values of equal and open access where traditional copyright stifles creativity.

Identity Empowerment

Subverting the media’s portrayal of beauty and binary gender roles—explicitly and implicitly—through artist subjective that explores themes of feminine and otherwise human existence.

Solidarity

Respecting diversity and embracing the full dignity of all human beings. Rejecting systems of discrimination that lead to oppression: including but not limited to classism, racism, corporate capitalism, patriarchy, colonialism/gentrification, ableism, and religious fundamentalism of all creeds.
